DAY 11 - BOOK RECOMMENDATION – HAVE A LITTLE FAITH BY MITCH ALBOM

I hope you’re following along as we countdown the final 100 days of 2022 - you can join us anytime. Learn more about the program HERE.

Have A Little Faith is a remarkable, true story.  Asked to write the eulogy for his childhood Rabbi, Albom embarked on a journey that spanned eight years.  Realizing he knew very little about the Rabbi personally, Albom set out to get to know the man better, seeking to understand who he was, his beliefs, his fears, and the challenges he faced.  Quite by accident, Albom also crosses paths with a Detroit pastor, a man who ministers in a dilapidated church in an even more run-down neighborhood.  The pastor, a former convict, and drug dealer self-describes himself as “someone who broke every commandment.”

While each man led a very different life, they both shared a belief that there was something bigger than themselves.  Albom speaks to the significant impact these men had on his life.  The part of his story that left such a deep impression on me was his quote “I am in love with hope.”

This is truly the season of hope, and I can’t imagine anyone who is not moved by this incredible book.  Additionally, it was made into a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie!
