DAY 78 - “A YEAR FROM NOW…”
I hope you’re following along as we countdown the final 100 days of 2022 - you can join us anytime. Learn more about the program HERE.
There’s a great quote by Karen Lamb who says, “A year from now you will wish you had started today.” How many of us have felt that way about something that mattered to us?
If only I had signed up last year to finish my degree program.
If only I had opened that emergency fund account when I had thought about it.
If only I had followed up on that offer for a job interview.
If only I had said yes to being part of that community theater group.
While we shouldn’t focus on regrets, the emotions that are stirred by looking back at missed opportunities can propel us forward to seize the day. At times, procrastination can be a powerful reaction to what we know we should do, even when we realize the pain or unfortunate consequences that will result from putting things off.
While there are literally millions of articles on the internet about how to stop procrastinating, I’d rather focus on the power of just doing it! What are you avoiding?
